UK Property and Computer Store
The position
P4L is looking for well motivated, computer literate individuals to assist in the administration of the web business in the following areas:
- London and UK Property Sales and Lets, Spain Sales - maintaining the database of available properties on the web
- Computer and Related Product Sales - keeping up to date the range of products, prices, deals, orders placed in P4L Digital Store
- Client email service - e.g. advising clients of newly available properties or other products through a semi automated procedure
- Preparing property images and other graphics for the web
The apprenticeship is full-time, waged.
Training
All trainees will be given a comprehensive and closely supervised induction programme on joining the company. Thereafter there will be opportunities to work largely under their own initiative.
Job Skills Profile
- Numeracy, Literacy and Analytical skills essential
- Verbal communication / telephone skills a definite advantage
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs an advantage
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Good spirit of cooperation and the ability to get on well with colleagues
Description of Rôle
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintenance of the various P4L Property and Computer Databases on the web via data processing using MS Excel/ Access/ Word and the Yahoo! Editor interface with the P4L site
- Working directly with html code to create and format web documents, tables etc
- Run various macros in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, designed for automated data processing within these applications
- Processing of online forms and performing email merges of documents to our client lists in MS Outlook
- Issuing invoices in MS Excel; obtaining quotes, placing telephone orders with our supplier

Duration of apprenticeship
Successful applicants are expected to commit to a minimum period of 9 months.
